9 x 9: Lulwah Al Homoud

10 December 2013 - 16 January 2014

Tabari Artspace Art Gallery presented renowned Saudi Arabian Artist Lulwah Al Homoud in Dubai.

Lulwah Al Homoud's approach to Arabic calligraphy is innovative and inspiring, breaking traditional barriers and offering a fresh perspective on form and technique. Her distinct approach transcends the ordinary and embraces uniqueness. The exhibition at Tabari Artspace Gallery, entitled "9x9," showcases a collection of works by Al Homoud. Describing her practice, Al Homoud states:

"As we explore the dichotomies of existence and contemplate the interplay between substance, essence, and fate, we are compelled to question what is abstract, solid, common, and particular. This discourse navigates between the realms of humanities and sciences, constantly shedding and reconstructing subtle layers. Communication, arguably the most incongruous yet convergent aspect, becomes the central focus. Through a pure language, my work intertwines geometry, language, and beauty, pushing the boundaries of knowledge, perception, and how we understand them."
