Literature

Waking Dream, Reflected Light exists in the threshold between sleep and waking, where memory and vision blur into one. On the left, vertical streams of color fall like curtains of light: amber, violet, teal, each stripe a translucent veil. On the right, these colors dissolve into atmospheric depths of purple and turquoise, punctuated by an unexpected burst of fuchsia, like a thought suddenly remembered.

Ghuloum paints the moment of transition, when one state of consciousness gives way to another. The layered translucency of oil and acrylic gouache creates surfaces that seem to glow from within, as if catching and reflecting an invisible source. This is painting as reverie: color as feeling, structure as dream, light as the bridge between what was and what is becoming.
