I paint my humane angels on sheets of fruit and vegetable paper: strawberries, pineapple, cucumber, onion, and carrot, each harvested from the land and transformed into a living canvas. These organic grounds become earthly Edens where the angels are born, preserved, and spiritualized. Painting on such surfaces allows the figures to inhabit a fertile terrain, one that embodies both the fragility and abundance of the natural world. Their halos, rendered in gold pigment, honor their divine vulnerability, a light that transcends the earthly while remaining deeply rooted within it.

Each work becomes a window that awakens the fertile earth itself, using ingredients drawn from what life’s ground is able to grow. Through these materials, transcendence takes root; spirits float, seeking integration and rebirth, raising the essence of the earth into the skies above. The fleeting soil transforms into an eternal Eden, where body and landscape dissolve into one continuous breath of creation.
