With over a decade of experience in the UAE, Laura is a frequent contributor to both regional and international publications, including Canvas Magazine, The National (UAE), Harper's Bazaar Arabia, and Tater (Hong Kong). Currently pursuing her PhD at SOAS, University of London, she also serves as an assistant lecturer. Her interdisciplinary research focuses on women artists in diaspora, combining contemporary art, gender studies, and ethnography.
Beyond her academic pursuits, Laura actively contributes to not-for-profit and humanitarian organizations. She is currently engaged as a research assistant for the curatorial platform, Archaeology of the Final Decade (AOTFD), which excavates and researches histories of nations condemned by social displacement, cultural annihilation, or deliberate disappearance.
