To Dance with the Night moves into deep teal, cobalt and burgundy, the composition built from swirling, luminous marks that suggest bioluminescence or the interior of a body observed from within. The handling is fluid and continuous, forms dissolving into one another without the harder edges present in some of El-Kadhi Brown's denser works. Small points of near-white light punctuate the surface, giving the composition spatial depth and a quality of suspended motion.
