High Spirits | Nasser Almulhim: ICD Brookfeild Palace

5 November 2025

High Spirits is a new installation by Saudi artist Nasser Almulhim, on view at ICD Brookfield Place. The work transforms the site into a setting animated by colour, form and spatial play. Almulhim extends his abstract language beyond the canvas: forms lifted from his paintings rise from the floor and descend from the ceiling, their silhouettes suspended in a continuous field of movement. Work on canvas anchor the installation, where vessel-like forms pulse across cobalt, ochre and coral grounds, setting up a dialogue between inner and outer worlds.

Anchored in psychology, spirituality and geometry, Almulhim’s practice treats making as a meditative process that aligns interior and exterior realms. In High Spirits, this principle is scaled to the collective. Colour operates as energy in circulation, re-tuning the workplace into a site of attention and encounter.
