Maitha Abdallah, Almaha Jaralla and Hazem Harb are participating in Proximities, a major exhibition presented by the Seoul Museum of Art in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation.
Curated by Maya El Khalil and Eunju Kim, Proximities brings together more than 40 UAE-based artists, including 33 Emiratis, spanning three generations. The exhibition reflects a Gulf nation shaped by migration, natural resources, and rapid urban transformation since its foundation just over half a century ago.
Structured across three sections developed in dialogue with artist-curators, the exhibition traces how perspectives shift through movement and translation. The curation examines how artists interpret change through lived experience, considering how ideas travel, collide, and take form across domestic, social, and geopolitical contexts.
