Global(e) Resistance

2020
The exhibition "Global(e) Resistance" sets new milestones in the history of the collection of the National Museum of Modern Art, Centre Pompidou, through over a hundred works acquired during the last decade from contemporary artists predominantly from the "Global South" (Africa, Middle East, Asia, Latin America). It questions the strategies of aesthetic and ethical resistance implemented by these artists. From political struggles to postcolonial issues, ecology, or gender issues, the artists respond to the urgency of the present while offering alternatives.
