Racing Comets shifts the palette toward the geological: warm sand, blue-grey and rust move in horizontal bands across the canvas, the surface scattered with small dark concentrations of pigment that read as debris or sediment in motion. The ink introduces a granular, resistant quality that contrasts with the oil's fluency, the two media producing a surface that holds different speeds simultaneously.
