b. 1983, Tangier, Morocco, Zakaria Ramhani lives and works in Montreal, Canada.
Ramhani trained as a teacher, and taught art in Tangier before dedicating his time to his own practice.
His first solo exhibition was at Cité Internationale des Arts, Paris in 2006, followed by exhibitons at Tabari Artspace, Dubai (2008, 2010); Centre d’Exposition, Val-d’Or, Canada (2009); Atelier 21, Casablanca, Morocco (2010, 2012) and Julie Meneret Contemporary, Ney York, USA (2013). His work has also been included in the Cairo Biennale, Egypt (2008); Dak’Art, Senegal (2008); Barbican Art Galley, London (2012) and Institut du Monde Arabe, Paris (2013) as well as fairs in Europe, North Africa and The Middle East.
Ramhani’s work is held by private and foundation collections in Morocco, France, Belgium, the UK and UAE.
