Spanning five decades of artistic practice in the UAE, the exhibition brings together approximately 60 works by pioneering and contemporary artists whose practices reflect the country’s social, cultural, and urban transformation since 1971. Drawing from the Barjeel Art Foundation collection, Observers of Change traces shifting notions of identity, memory, and place through painting, photography, sculpture, and mixed media, offering a layered account of how artists have engaged with moments of transition and redefinition.
